New product proof-of-concept package using a special film which pauses the ripening process. Therefore, avocados packaged at sequential stages of ripening will remain so for a period of time, and normal ripening resumes when the film is removed. Avid avocado consumers who would typically run to the grocers 3 or 4 times weekly would now only need 1 or 2 trips for a weeks-worth supply.
